The Melbourne-based legal secretary became an overnight hit by repeatedly saying her own name and taking centre stage in every scene of the Network Ten staple.
Keyboard detectives did some sleuthing and swiftly discovered evidence that Vanessa's real surname is Bennet, not Sunshine, but the straight talking beauty wasn't having any of it.
"I don't know what the big deal is. It's like people calling themselves Iggy Azalea, Cardi B, Lady Gaga... No one gives a s**t," she told Popsugar in her elimination interview.

"It is my real name, I'm not pulling it out of my a**. It's the name I was born with, it's on my birth certificate and everything like that. That's it. It's not fake."
The fiery beauty isn't one to mince her words, previously declaring: "I don't think I'm the life of the party. I KNOW that I am."
"I am someone who, f*** me over and you are dead to me, I’m done," she sternly confessed of her TV enemies to New Idea's Binge List.
She didn't hold back about her feelings for her potential partner The Honey Badger, either, making very frank statements regarding her total lack of attraction to the curly haired footballer.
Ms Sunshine makes no excuses and she's proud of her no nonsense approach to life.
"Yes, what I said to him wasn’t nice, but I think you can tell I didn’t say it in a malicious way,’ she said.
"I genuinely did not know who Nick was, I figured it out after I was eliminated; that that was his trademark look and things like that."
Vanessa will definitely ramp up the drama on the imminent Bachelor in Paradise, that's for sure!
