Apollo's horrifying act saw the magician attempt to escape his straightjacket and flick a switch in a lockbox hanging from the ceiling after the former Bachelorette star was drenched in fuel and set on fire.
Despite Apollo leaving with a bleeding arm and judges Nicole Scherzinger and Manu Feildel looking absolutely terrified, he was voted through to the next round.
The former Bachelor in Paradise star has struggled since his time on the Channel 10 reality show, having to return to his work as a sales assistant on the Gold Coast after his magic failed to take off.
Speaking with The Daily Mail, Apollo detailed how his work as a magician came to a standstill after his time on TV.
"I'd just put a bunch of time and money into starting a stage show which I was really excited about, [but] unfortunately it didn't work out," he told the Daily Mail Australia.
Apollo then explained why he had to return to his retail gig: "With the bills piling up I just wanted a good job to cover the bills while I work on the crazy stuff … I'm really lucky to have a good workplace to help my pay the bills while I keep trying to chase those dreams of being a full-time entertainer."
Hopefully, Australia's Got Talent gives Apollo's magic career the resurgence it needs!
