But, mother's can finally breath a sigh of relief as some Australian leading suppliers of baby formulas have promised to supply parents with their products without the stress of competing against 'daigou' buyers.
The makers of A2 Platinum, Aptimal and Karicare baby formula have made public guarantees to help parents get their hands on the product.
A Current Affair spoke to A2 Milk Company boss Peter Nathan who promised to provide parents with baby formula.
Mr Nathan said, 'We will guarantee that any Australian mum or dad who wants to buy A2 platinum can do so.'

Similarly, Mumstore.com.au provides easy access to Karicare and Aptamil products.
The move to help Australian shoppers comes after supermarket shelves are regularly stripped bare of baby formula, with people filming insane incidences with shoppers snatching and grabbing for the 'white gold.'
Coles and Woolworths have continued to impose strict guidelines on the purchasing of baby formula, including customers only being allowed to buy two cans at a time.
