Originally from the Sunshine Coast, the 29-year-old shot worked in marketing and production before landing a spot on Gogglebox with best friend Yvie Jones - which catapulted her to fame.
Soon after, Angie appeared on Channel Ten's Australian version of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!
Her loveable TV persona won her a huge fanbase, so it's no surprise Channel Ten has recruited her for another reality tv show.
According to Instyle, the executive producer of The Bachelorette Australia, Hilary Innes believes Angie is the "perfect Bachelorette."
"She's genuine, funny, loveable and naturally gorgeous. I am so excited to see Angie'slove storyunfold," Innes said.
Angie is somewhat of an oracle, predicting her own appearance on the Channel 10 show in 2018.
In an interview with theHerald Sun, Angie was asked which other shows she wanted to go on to which she responded:
"I think I would doI'm a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!even though I would get so frightened," she said.
"I wouldn't do [be a contestant on]The BachelorAustraliabut I would doThe Bacheloretteand the men would fight for me. I couldn't think of anything worse than fighting a bunch of girls for one man."
Network Ten announced that Gogglebox's Angie Kent will star in The Bachelorette Australia 2019.

While Angie is looking forward to having over twenty men "throwing themselves" at her, she knows what she's looking for.
"They have to have an amazing sense of humour, don't take yourself too seriously," she said in an interview with10 Daily.
"When it comes to looks I don't have a type. I'm not one of those people that's like 'tall, dark and handsome'. As long as you have a solid personality and a sensational smile, I'm pretty much sold."
