Prince Andrew reportedly spread lies about Camilla as she tried to gain acceptance into the royal family.
A royal biography claims that Prince Charles accused his brother Andrew of “plotting the downfall” of the now Duchess of Cornwall.
Tom Bower wrote in “Rebel Prince: The Power, Passion and Defiance of Prince Charles” that Charles was also convinced those closest to him were conspiring to keep him from becoming kind.
“Mindful of Diana’s prediction on Panorama that he would never be king, Charles convinced himself that even Princess Diana and Sarah Ferguson, were hatching plans to replace him as heir."
Bower’s biggest claim was that Charles was sure brother “had been spreading poison” about his now wife Camilla Parker Bowles to the Queen and Prince Philip.
An insider revealed to the Daily Mail that Camilla "hasn't forgotten" how "deeply unhelpful" Andrew was in her quest to be accepted by the royal family.
The source said: "Camilla has always felt Andrew could have done more.
“The Queen listens to Andrew and he could have helped his brother at a time when he had few allies within the family”.
