Since joining Karl Stefanvoic in 2020, Ally, 42, has brought a fresh feel to the program, winning over fans and bigwigs alike.
In recent months it’s become clear the journalist has made her mark with audiences, as Today slowly but surely regains its viewership.
More tellingly has been Ally’s venture into reality TV for Nine’s Parental Guidance.
The new series, which focuses on parents sharing diverse discipline practices, has cemented her as a “force to be reckoned with”, according to Nine insiders.
They say bosses are impressed she’s been able to helm a reality TV show.
“She’s making waves on TV, nailing a reality side project and is clearly the network’s new poster girl – she’s ticking all the boxes,” tells a source, who suggests Karl, 47, has “seemingly fizzled into the background”.
“Ally is in prime position to go further and further, and ask for what she wants.”
