He’s been keeping his new relationship under wraps, but it seems Dr Chris Brown’s days as one of Australia’s most eligible bachelors is about to come to an end. In just a few months’ time, the TV vet is planning on tying the knot with new girlfriend, Liv Phyland.
“Chris is really keen to elope in Africa when he’s there filming I’m A Celebrity,” a source close to the couple tells New Idea. “He knows Liv is the one and he really sees no use in waiting months and months before walking down the aisle – he’s 40, desperate to settle down and just doesn’t want to waste any time.”
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! hits screens on Jan. 13 with an as-yet undisclosed cast of celebrities and is set to run for six weeks.
After Chris finishes his presenting duties alongside co-host Julia Morris, he and Liv plan to remain in South Africa for their wedding ceremony and then to enjoy some quiet time as husband and wife.
“They’re looking to do it at the end of filming, and then stay on for a few weeks and honeymoon in Africa as well. When they get back to Sydney, they will have another party for their close friends and family – but by then they’ll be a happily married couple. It’s the perfect plan,” says the source.
The notoriously private Chris has been keeping his new relationship under wraps since first being spotted with Liv in October at her birthday celebrations and, soon after, at a Channel Ten party.
On Nov. 23 they were spotted by onlookers at a Wyong road-stop cafe buying takeaway food while seemingly on a surfing getaway on the Central Coast.
Despite this, the loved-up pair have made no public statements about being together.
Chris opened up about why he’s so unwilling to talk about his relationships while he was still dating TV producer Kendall Bora last January.
“Some people shout it from the rooftops and put it all over social media and that’s fine, each to their own, I’ve just never been someone to do that,” he said.
