Stephan Elliott, best known for his 1994 classic The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, is the director behind the new witty film.
Filmed in the Gold Coast last year, the award-winning director has turned back the clock to the 1970s, and nostalgia here we come...
Set in a beachside town during the era when boxed wine and bad hair ruled, Swinging Safari also stars Asher Keddie, Julian McMahon, Radha Mitchelland and Jeremy Sims, with a cameo appearance by Jack Thompson, as the Mayor of the seaside town in which the film is set.
Due for release in Australia on January 18, the film was made under the working title Flammable Children and follows the mayhem that ensues when a group of mums and dads in a quiet suburban cul-de-sac join the sexual revolution and throw a wife-swapping key party.
