Earlier this year, the father-of-four paid a visit to the hospital for a happier reason, after he welcomed his son Colton Keith Noll with his wife Rochelle in January.
Shannon told New Idea that he planned to make up for his past mistakes with his fourth child, after feeling that he missed out on seeing his other children Cody, 17, Blake, 15 and Sienna, 11 grow up while he toured.
"With the new baby, I’m going to have to change quite a bit," he confessed.
"With my three kids now older, my wife Rochelle was starting to get back on the road with me when we were touring, which was great, but now she can’t so I might have to scale back a bit so I can spend time with the family."
It's been over a decade since Shannon has had a newborn in the house, and he admitted that a lot has changed.
"I have to pay the bills, so it’s finding that perfect balance," he said of juggling his career and fatherhood.
"This time I have to work smarter not harder because I don’t want to miss out on seeing my boy grow up as I felt I missed out on my other kids growing up before."
