Branding the claims as ‘complete lies’, the Queensland best friends say they’re ‘like sisters’ and ‘could never hate each other’. The pair have also taken aim at MKR villain Josh, 26, for starting the vicious rumours, telling New Idea that he is ‘full of s***’.
The Broome contestant created the firestorm after revealing Della was ‘sneaky’ and was unpopular with the other contestants – including her teammate Tully, 30.
‘If there was one person I could pick out from the whole experience who really was sneaky and trying to be a game player, it would have been Della,’ Josh told New Idea.
‘No-one wanted anything to do with her... I don’t think she will have any mates after this, and I don’t think even Tully will be her friend anymore.
‘I really question how [close] friends they were at the start of the show, before entering the competition. You could see cracks forming during the competition.’
But the claims of a rift have been vehemently denied by Della and Tully, who say they are gobsmacked by the WA troublemaker’s comments.
‘Josh is full of s***, he really is,’ Tully reveals. ‘We have given him no reason to think there was a rift – because there isn’t one. It’s all a complete lie.’
‘It’s disappointing. I’m just sick of the Josh show – we’ve had enough, Australia’s had enough. Let’s move on,’ adds Della, 31.
