Speaking to Hot Seat host Eddie McGuire on his radio show this morning, the shock jock admitted that he’d tipped the scales at 135 kilograms.
“I’m 125 kilos Eddie – help me,” he begged.
The 52-year-old media veteran then went on to explain that he’d lost 20kgs in two weeks by drinking just three cups of Chinese herb tonic a day.
“It does take a bit of mental strength to get through, but I found it relatively easy going,” he said.
“You have the herbs but you also go and get acupuncture and a massage for the first couple weeks and get weighed every day, so that gets you a bit honest.”
But while McGuire confessed he had ‘probably’ put on a kilo or two each year, Sandilands’ admission was much more shocking.
“You reckon I put on five [kilos] a year Jackie?” he quizzed his co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.
“Would be, yep,” she said, nodding in agreement.
He simply replied: “Jesus.”
This isn’t the first time Henderson has publicly spoken about her colleague’s health issues.
When reading an open letter dedicated to Sandilands on air in 2016, the 41-year-old mum joked: “I’m not sure what’s growing quicker, my friendship and trust with you or your waistline.”
