The revelations come during an appearance on The Dominic Nati Show where the reality TV star set the record straight on rumours that she received kick-backs during the filming of her docu-series.
Responding to questions if she’d allow her daughters Alana, 11, and Lauryn. 17, to also have plastic surgery to lose weight, Shannon said she’d have no problems with it.
“I do encourage them to lose weight, but they’re teenagers.”
“If it would make them confident, then yes, I would recommend the surgery. You have to do your research, definitely, and that’s what got me into the gastric sleeve. That helps you lose as much weight as possible.”
On the subject of her own procedures, the star put rumours to rest.
“I had to pay, just like everybody else,” she said.
“[The surgery] was going to happen whether I had them or not.”
Shannon also explained how she had to do extensive workout routines after a gastric sleeve procedure before the plastic surgery.
“If you get the skin removal surgery done without anything before, you’re liable to have to spend your money and do it again,” she explained.
The Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star has had skin removal surgery on her neck and arms, and also went under the knife for a tummy tuck and breast lift.
“I’m definitely not going to have any more, [but] I wouldn’t consider them plastic surgery,” she told the show.
“Plastic surgery to me is having something broke or something put on or whatever, but that’s what they call it.”
